I’m Hooked on Phonics!! Hooked on Phonics!!

Not really, I was just looking for an excuse to use that line somewhere!  But seriously now, a while ago the ever awesome Chris Corradino posted a photography challenge on his blog.  The “Alphabet Exercise.”  This exercise is an awesomely easy way to help you expand your creative eye by thinking outside the box.  The object of said exercise is simple, find something that looks like a letter and take a picture of it.  The only thing is, you can’t take a picture of an actual letter.  That means no signs and such.

This really got me thinking and recently, when I went to the beach, I was seeing letters left and right.  It’s addicting, I tell you!  I found quite a few and I plan to keep going until I have at least one photograph of each letter in the alphabet.

Here’s a few examples…

The Letter “A”

The Letter “B”

I also found the letters “F”, “G”, “M”, “P”, “S”, “V”, “W”, “X“, “Y”, and “Z”.  Like I said, I’m going to keep at this until I have photos of all the letters in the alphabet.  I’m on a roll!

I would highly recommend this exercise to anyone even remotely interested in photography.  It’ll help you develop your creative eye.  Just be wary of its addictiveness!  Plan on a day that you have no other obligations cause you’ll forget about everything else once you get going.  I know I did!  Once I get each letter photographed, I might post them in their own album.

Until next time, folks…

Keep on rockin’ on!
