Every once in a while I start to get a little bored hiking the same circuit of trails over and over. So, when I stumble upon a new trail, I’m eager to check it out.
I recently located another trail close by one I frequent. How I never knew about this trail before is kind of sad. I didn’t drive far enough down the particular road. Sort of an “around the next bend” kind of situation.
Anyway, the trail system is called the Boot Head Preserve and it’s a modest two mile loop but the ocean vistas are awesome.
This was the first vista I came to when I took the right path of the loop.
Circling around the loop, I came upon this staircase…
…which brought me to another awesome vista.
I’ll definitely be visiting this preserve again in the future.
