Should I Be Concerned?!

Sometimes when I’m on a hike I come across something strange, something out-of-place, something that makes me concerned.

Again, on a hike at Quoddy Head State Park, I spotted something down on the beach that gave me pause (<– a little writer’s prose for you there).

Half a Canoe

What am I supposed to make of this? Should I be concerned? Where’s the other half of the canoe?! Was there someone in the canoe when the other half went missing? If so, where are they?!

Strange…

Until next time…

Follower Milestone!

Lightening the mood from last week’s post…I was just informed by WordPress (the host of my website), that I’ve reached 110 followers on my blog! (And that’s not even including my 175 email subscribers!).

In honor of this milestone that I never even thought possible when I started my little website and blog, I’ve decided to run a little giveaway kind of thingy.

Want to win a signed print of one of my photographs? Here’s your chance! From now, right this very instant, until 11pm on Sunday, June 30th, 2016, I’m going to be accepting entries to win one 8×10 signed print of one of my photographs (winner’s choice). All you have to do to enter is send me an email with the subject “8×10 Print Giveaway.” A winner will be chosen at random and announced on Monday, July 4th, 2016! (You can use the contact form here on my website, or just send the email to audreymayphotography@yahoo.com)

This giveaway is open to all of my followers, both through WordPress and email. One entry per person, please! Make sure you get your entry in by 11pm on Sunday, June 30th, 2016!  And remember to use the subject “8×10 Print Giveaway”.  No subject = no entry.

Good luck!

Until next time…

License Plate Fun…Round 2

Last week I shared a funny Transformers related memory of mine with all of you.  Well, this week I just have to keep the Transformers theme going.

I mentioned in a post last year that I like looking for funny vanity plates when I’m on the road or walking through a parking lot while on my way to/from a store.  The last license plate I shared with you folks was Game of Thrones related (check that post out here).  Well, a few days ago, I went shopping with my mother and while we were at a stop light, my mother noticed the license plate of the vehicle in front of us and brought it to my attention.  I couldn’t help but laugh and scramble for my camera.

This is what we saw…

Megatron License Plate

Forgive the quality of the image.  I took this through a less than pristine windshield while in a moving car (I was the passenger so don’t worry).

Hilarious!  Again, stay nerdy, folks!

Until next time…

Sad Cookie…

It’s time for something funny and totally random.
We’ve all heard about food (especially potato chips) that’s randomly shaped like people or objects. We’ve all heard about the grilled cheese sandwich that supposedly had the face of the Madonna (the mother of Jesus, not the musician!) on it, the…what was it…a quesadilla? with an image of Jesus… So, it’s not too far-fetched to think a piece of food could look like an emoticon.
That’s what happened to me after my mother baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies a while ago.

Sad Cookie

Why so sad, cookie? Wait, what’s that? You don’t want to be eaten? Sorry, can’t help you there. [-_^]

Until next time…

New Partner In Crime!

A while back I mentioned how I was exploring something a little whimsical by taking photos of different action figures and toys while on my hikes. Well, on a recent trip to a craft store, I found my new partner in crime…

A photographer Gnome!

Gnome Photographer

I’ve already taken him on a few excursions as evidenced by the photo above, but I don’t know what to name him. Norm is taken (my mother found a Gnome for her own photos), plus, I’m not a big fan of the name Norm anyway (no offense to any of my readers that may be named Norm or some variation thereof!).

Any suggestions for a name for my new photographer Gnome? Leave a comment and let me know!

Until next time…
