Uh Oh, Blue!

Last week gave rise to what I plan to call my “Nimble Ninjas” series.  Catchy title, huh?  Yeah, I know.

Anyway, this week brings a new ninja, the Blue Ninja, who seems to have stumbled into a bit of an unpleasant situation.

Uh Oh!!

Blue Ninja In Trouble

Will Blue defeat his foe and live to Kung Fu fight another day?!  Tune in next week to find out!

Always remember to have fun, my friends!

Until next time…

Toys

Even though I’m one of those…you know…adults, I still like to play with toys now and then. Except, now, the only difference is, I take pictures of my escapades through toy land and call them “photo projects”. Well I’ve done a lot of “photo projects” and I have a lot of “photo projects” in mind for the future.

This doesn’t make me weird or childish. It makes me imaginative and epic! [-_^]

For example, my most recent trip to the beach yielded this (which I plan on making into a series)….

You’re welcome. d_[^_^]

Don’t be afraid to have fun, be silly, or to play with toys as an adult. Defy the norms! Especially when society tries to tell you that playing with toys is “inappropriate for someone your age.”

Until next time…

Kids, Can You Say “Unicorn”!?

A while ago, I took a walk on the beach (I love living so close to the ocean!) and found something awesome.

I happened to look down at just the right moment and found a piece of driftwood among a group of rocks.  The piece of driftwood looked like the head of a unicorn!

That’s right, kids!  I found a freakin’ driftwood unicorn and I just had to bring it home!!

Behold!

Driftwood Unicorn

Keep your eyes open, folks.  You can find awesome things when you least expect it!

Until next time…

Mother’s Day

As everyone knows (or at least, everyone should know!), yesterday was Mother’s Day.   A day to appreciate she who brought you into the world (and can take you out, as the popular saying goes!).

Unlike most people when it comes to Mother’s Day, I don’t run straight for the flower arrangements as a gift.  Why?  Because not only is it cliché (like on Valentine‘s day), flowers don’t last.  I want to give my mother something she can show off for years and unless they’re fake, flowers don’t fit the bill.

So, like I usually do as a broke artist, I made my mother’s gift for Mother’s Day.  A jewelry set; a necklace, a bracelet, and earrings, in her favorite colors.  And, like I usually do, I gave it to her before Mother’s Day so she could wear them ON Mother’s Day.  That and when I make gifts in advance, I’m notoriously bad at saving them for the actual date they’re to be given.  [^_^]

Now, while we were all celebrating our loving mothers, grandmothers, and other mothers in our lives, someone brought to my attention a mother that tends to be overlooked on Mother’s Day (probably because her “Mother’s Day” is called something else).  Know which mother I’m talking about?  Come on…  Think…. Work it out…

Mother Earth!

Yeah, it sounds New Agey but whatever, it’s true.  Without the Earth, none of us would be alive, right?  So why just honor her on Earth Day?  In my opinion, Earth Day should be every day, and the Earth should be acknowledged on Mother’s Day.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice Mother’s Day!

Until next time…

Photobombing

Personally, I’ve never been photobombed, but I’ve seen it happen.  Before I go any further, I should explain to those of you who don’t know what photobombing is.  It’s when an uninvited person jumps into a photo at the last second.

I’ve seen a wide range of photobombings.  Everything from teen girls shooting selfies when a friend (or not a friend) crashes the shot, to drunk wedding guests stumbling into the posed shots of the newly wed couple.

But people aren’t the only ones that photobomb.  Oh no.  Our animal friends are no strangers to photobombing.

Check out some hilarious examples here.

Have you ever been photobombed?

Until next time…
