My Domo! MINE!

Not only is my youngest cat spoiled rotten (she even has me trained now that when she’s ready to take a nap, she wants me to follow her and tuck her in like a child [^_^]), but she’s a bit of a thief…

She’s:
* A spot thief (which I established before, both my cats steal my seat whenever I get up).
* A food thief (if I let her, or don’t catch her in time, she’ll eat the canned cat food my older cat doesn’t finish).
* A blanket hog (self explanatory).
* And she even steals stuffed animals to cuddle…

Why do I let her get away with all of it?  Well, she’s just way too cute!

Proof…

My Domo! MINE!

Apparently that’s no longer my Domo doll…

Until next time…

Stretching Squirrel

A while ago I went hiking at the nearby state park and I happened to see the most random thing…

There was this squirrel chattering in a tree not too far from the trail I was on.  That’s not random but what it did, was…  And it was hilarious!

It hung from the side of the tree by its hind feet (paws?), stretched out, and waived its arms around in the air like it was swimming!  I wish I’d caught it on video but I only managed to snap a photo before it stopped and scampered off.

Stretching Squirrel

Keep an eye out for wildlife when you’re out in nature folks, sometimes they do some funny stuff!

Until next time…

Spoiled Kitties

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but my cats are incredibly spoiled.  Those of you who love cats probably know exactly what I’m talking about.

Anyway, my cats are so spoiled, they have numerous beds of their own to choose from yet they always seem to end up in a chair or on the couch where my seat was vacated for less than a minute.  They always give me the same look when I come back to my seat too…  “What?  You got up.  Your loss.”  And to show how spoiled they are, I don’t even bother moving them from my seat, I simply find another place to sit.  Sad?  Maybe.  I prefer to say it’s out of love, not that they own the place and simply allow me to live here to feed them and clean their litter box.  [-_^]  I heard a saying once that’s spot on, “Dogs have owners, Cats have staff.”

But, here’s proof…

Lazy Spoiled Kitties

I was ejected from not one, but two seats by both cats.  And what did I do when I returned to said seats to find they‘d been shanghaied?  I tucked in the napping fur babies and found another place to sit.

I’m weak, I know.

Until next time…

Too Cute

Hello again folks!  Now, seeing as this is technically a photography blog and seeing as I failed to post a photo last time, I figured I’d share a cute little snapshot of my youngest cat, Kenzi.

This was among the first shots I took this year of my cats.

Kenzi Lounging

Both of my cats are super photogenic, unlike me.  [-_^]  But Kenzi’s always doing cute poses, usually when my camera isn’t in reach so I’m always happy when I can catch a good image.

Cat lovers, hug your feline friends (or feline friends of your friends if you don’t have any fur babies yourself)!

Until next time…

Welcome 2017

Apologies for the lack of a post last Monday.  I would have made this post then, but I was without internet service for an entire week.  Gotta love it when tech support knows the issue is on their end but treats you like it’s on yours and runs you around in circles.  [>_<]

Anyway, time to ring in a new year.  I hope this year will be better than last year.  We saw far to many beloved celebrities pass last year and I hope that doesn’t carry over into this year.

But, one thing I’m not looking forward to is the coming presidential inauguration.  I don’t want to get into a political debate with anyone here as I loathe politics to the core, but I just can’t stand that man (I can’t stand him so much I won’t even type his name).

One thing I’ve always done for everyone, regardless of who they are, is give them the benefit of the doubt.  Maybe things will change for the better, maybe things will get much worse.  I know what my gut’s telling me, but I’ll wait and see.

Anyway, doom and gloom aside… I think the biggest issue I’m going to struggle with, at least for the next month or two, is getting into the habit of writing 2017 instead of 2016!  Anyone else have that problem?

New year’s resolutions for the coming year: Take more pictures, write, live a healthier lifestyle (less TV, more exercise).

Just a reminder, folks, this year I’ll be posting every other Monday instead of every Monday.

Until next time…
